Growing up in Los Angeles, surrounded by friends from Puebla and Mexico Distrito Federal, I was bound to love this sub-genre and culture of Sonidero music. Many of these songs have been lowered in their pitch and added the Guacharaca loop to them.
If you also grew up in Los Angeles, you may have gone to a party where they had a Sonidero playing some of these tunes. It takes a special type of person to really enjoy these types of parties as the MC constantly talks over the songs, sending shout outs to the invitees; of course, enticing them to continue the dance!
